2016 Secondary Orienteering Championship

The Be Active WA School Championships was held at the beautiful Lake Leschenaultia in the Perth Hills on 3 June 2016. 

Due to the huge growth of this event, the decision was made to host two separate events for Primary and Secondary schools this year – a decision that proved to be justified with a large turnout on the day, including schools from as far afield as Geraldton and Bunbury.

La Salle College, with strength in the Boys 15A and 16A, and support from Girls in 15A and 15B, just held off Quinns Baptist College by 2 points to win their first Champion School Shield. Last year’s winner Frederick Irwin Anglican School tied with Aranmore Catholic College for 3rd place.
