SSWA Teachers Golf Day

There were 38 players at the SSWA golf day held at Gosnells Golf Course on Monday. It was a beautiful sunny day and the event was a hit with those that played. It was an 18 hole ambrose format and teams hit off at 8am.

The eventual winners were the team from Golf WA who made the most of the great condition the course was in. Second was the team called Ring Ins. No more to be said! TheAFL team,the inaugural winners of the tournament, were third. All of the other teams were very close. There were spot prizes for nearest the pin and longest drive. Andy Holmes managed to take out two of these.

Many thanks to Golf WA for supplying a swag of prizes and to SSWA for also providing a big box of goodies for prizes. Thanks also to Gosnells Golf Club for providing the major prize of four rounds of golf with a buggy. I’m sure the winners will enjoy it.

We hope to make this an annual event to be held in the first term holidays. It was good to see an event organised by Peter Della happen without rain! Daryl Mansfield did complain that it was a little hot though. Thanks also to Andrew Ruck for working out the final scores. Well done to Peter Smith for actually getting finished  before the presentations this year!
